Dee, Practice Manager
Dee grew up in New Philadelphia. She completed the Dental Assisting Program at Buckeye career center and also attended Kent State University. She began working with Dr. Amison in 2010 in his Canton location. After years of assisting and coordinating patient treatment she has continued to grow by becoming the Practice Manager at Independence Family Dental. Dee has three rescued fur pups Balboa, Nita, and Nacho and in her spare time she enjoys running and working out with her sister.
Cara, Patient Coordinator
Cara joined our team in 2023 shortly after moving to the area with her two dogs Winnie and Bonnie. She enjoys working in the dental field and helping people understand the importance of their dental health. In Cara's free time she loves to spend it with her family, going on hikes with her dogs and cooking all the delicious meals she finds on pinterest. She is so excited to grow with our team and learn new things
Kayla, EFDA
Kayla is a 2015 graduate of the Stark State College Dental Assisting Program. She enjoys working in the dental field and decided to continue her education at Stark State College to become an EFDA (Expanded Functions Dental Assistant). This allows her to place dental restorations under the supervision of our doctors. She hopes to one day go Skydiving. Kayla joined our team in 2021. She has a fiancé and 2 large puppies (Great Danes).
McKenzie, EFDA
McKenzie has been a dental assistant since 2015. She continued her education and graduated from Stark State University Expanded Function Dental Assistant Program. This allows her to place dental restorations under the supervision of our doctor. She has a superb eye for color matching, which is essential in completing fillings. She enjoys spending free time with her husband, Cale, dog, Kash as well as snow boarding.
Jessica, Dental Hygienist
Jessica joined our team in 2022. She loves connecting with her patients on a personal level and giving them the most positive and enjoyable dental experiences possible. She prides herself on her thorough yet gentle touch and ability to accommodate each patient’s individual needs. Patients love her bubbly, warm, and comforting personality. Jessica’s favorite part about working at Independence Family Dental is our focus on patient comfort and care, as well as our passion for technology and staying ahead of the latest advancements in dentistry.
Jessica lives in Parma with her husband Steve. In her spare time likes sewing, roller skating and art.
